This is a very special show for us. To celebrate the launch of the first new Sound Sanctuary record in over 8 years we'll be playing at the fabulous Trinity Theatre as part of the Local & Live Sessions alongside The Paul Dunton Orchestra and Hattie Webb.
Also we have a very unique band lineup prepared for this one-off show - all 4 members of The Glorious Amber Life, which was the precursor group that Sound Sanctuary grew out of. It's the first time the four of us will have performed together in 16 years and the set list will feature tracks from each of our old albums/eps alongside the newly released material.
And what's more everyone who buys a ticket for the show direct from us via Bandcamp will receive a free limited edition numbered CD of the new EP either signed on the night or mailed to them ahead of the show.

about
The four song collection ‘XM’ continues down the path forged by the groups early work, 2008's ‘Dust’ and 2005’s ‘Contact’. However on this record, singer songwriter Toby U-P tackles the writing and recording process alone, laying down tracks at his home studio with some guest guitar by Steve McCormack and production assistance from long term collaborators Bombay Monkey. Both expansive and intimate, these songs explore the themes of departure, infatuation and forbidden love.
All songs by Toby U-P recorded at Friendly Tribe Studios
Produced and arranged by Bombay Monkey and Sound Sanctuary
Mastered by Donal Whelan at Hafod Mastering
Mixed by Bombay Monkey
Vocals, guitars and percussion Toby U-P
Additional guitar on tracks 2 & 3 by Steve McCormack
Bass & keys Andrew Organ
